I am trying to update the website. When completed, it will have so many cool features - a wish list, consultant log in, shopping cart (with actual quantities of items available), an events calendar and so much more.

I just wanted to let everyone know since I haven't sent out very many updates lately. I really want to have the new site completed before I start sending out updates...wouldn't want the site to be down when you visit.

Pouring Candles Today!!

Lots of different scents...all jar candles are being poured today. Seems that the Food Scents are the most popular at this time - Banana Nut Bread, Maple Butter, Maple Pecan, Southern Pecan Pie (just to name a few). Makes you hungry, huh? Now imagine smelling them burning in your kitchen, living room, wherever...

Busy, Busy, So Very Busy!

Very busy this week! Lots of orders to pour - candles and lotion mostly. New scents are being tested. Working on a personal blog also. New products arriving daily for our new catalog and website is being updated with new features and new shopping cart. Just wanted to send an update.

I did it...I was able to customize my layout to suit my needs. I still have a few changes to make like under the "Links" and "Sponsored Links" sections, but whew! This took me quite a while to figure out so I am doing the happy dance for now!

Website Updates

I am working on the new design for the website of Country PotPourri. I am adding some new features to the site - wholesale/consultant log in, gift registry, a new shopping and lots more! The graphics will stay the same, but hopefully the layout will be easier to navigate. I just recently finished up working on a new eBay store look - alittle different from the website, but still the same concept. You can visit Country PotPourri eBay store and let me know what you think.

I am also going to work on trying to add to this blog - at least once a week...we'll see how that goes - wish me luck!

January in the Northern IL area has been very weird this year. We started the year off with lots of snow and cold temperatures. A week later, we had tornadoes that caused Major Destruction (especially in the Poplar Grove area). Tornadoes caused major damage to the Edwards Apple Orchard - a place that we visit many times during the fall season - even more damage to some of their neighbors, who lost everything. Let's keep these families in our prayers as January has come to a close. The next week in our area, we, again, had below zero freezing temperatures. Yesterday another major snowstorm hit our area - dumping between 5-10 inches on us and guess what? It's still snowing this morning.
